About Podiatry & Chiropody
Podiatrists are qualified to carry out treatments ranging from routine nail care and callus reduction to nail surgery. A Podiatrist will also assess patients with diabetes, arthritis and sports injuries.
Qualification as a podiatrist requires the completion of a three year, full time degree course (or equivalent) and leads to registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC). The HPC can tell you if your Podiatrist/Chiropodist is qualified.

Daniel Broadhead B.Sc (Hons) M.C.h.S HPC Reg
Daniel has a keen interest in all sport and was a member of the GB Athletics team during which time he was the UK U20 Pole Vault Champion. Daniel holds a B.Sc (Hons) Sports Science Degree from Loughborough University in addition to a B.Sc (Hons) Podiatry Degree. He is one of the few Podiatrist who is also a qualified sports scientist so allowing him to expand his scope of practice into the field of sport and exercise. Daniel has recently been working with the Yorkshire & Humber branch of UK Athletics in the delivery of biomechanics education and orthotic prescription. Daniel also provides advice and treatment to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
Joy Lee B.Sc. MSSCh, MBChA, HPC Reg
Joy trained at the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead and qualified in 2001, since which she has worked at the Welsh Clinic and has also done some domiciliary or home visits, in the Rotherham area. A full range of treatments is available including diabetic assessment; corns; callouses; and verrucae. Treatments will cover advice on diabetic care where appropriate, (she does Diabetic Assessments for some GP’s in Rotherham) in-growing toe nails and verrucae removal. Advice is also available for fungal nail infection and athletes foot. Her patients range from children with verrucae, to their parents and their grandparents too.
