About Welsh Clinic
The new Welsh Clinic opened its doors in March 2004. Over 3000 sq ft of floor space allows for 7 treatment rooms with a large open reception and waiting area, office, storerooms, wash room and a 1000 sq ft fitness studio with its own wash room and seperate shower facilities.
Parking for disabled access (low ramp to front door) is directly outside the clinic. Space for four cars off-road. More parking is available up both sides of the premises for 10 cars and a further 25 spaces available for use in front of Listerdale shopping parade next door. Complimentary tea or coffee is available from reception while you wait.
The Welsh Clinic was established in 1995 as a small chiropractic and remedial massage clinic in Wickersley, Rotherham. Seventy five new patients turned up in the first two weeks of business and many remain faithful to its chiropractic methods to date. Internal expansion meant moving premises to Middle Lane, Clifton, Rotherham in 1999, allowing other chiropractors and therapists to join the team. By 2004, the number of staff/associates had grown to twelve making it the biggest alternative health clinic in Rotherham, with an excellent reputation. Need for more space again meant finding bigger premises and a new clinic was sought.
In March 2004, the Welsh Chiropractic Clinic moved to Brecks Crescent, Brecks, Rotherham and created one of the largest chiropractic clinics in the U.K., designed to the highest standards by encompassing ideas from many other professions and establishments. The clinic strives for excellence in all areas of patient management. It abides by all professional body’s codes of conduct and fulfils its on-going professional development duties according to law.
"Above all, the staff and associates are the friendliest people around!"
We have created an excellent clinical environment for the provision of an excellent service. Most of the therapies which compliment chiropractic are found on site which allows patients easy cross-referrals if required or desired; from a more relaxed aromatherapy massage, to fitness training and aerobic work-outs, the Welsh Clinic covers all areas of functional health care for the whole body regardless of age or ability.
About Our Fitness Studio
The studio was designed with several criteria in mind:
- Rehabilitation of patients to full strength and agility using fully commercial gym equipment.
- Aerobic and cardiovascular training to encourage and maintain better fitness.
- Specific class work for special skills training like dance, martial arts and specific sports.
- Community use for teaching classes like first-aid, professional lectures and group therapy.
The studio is run by Kim Booth, personal trainer, and it caters for all of the above criteria and has a small "members" gym for community use. Please see fitness dynamic for further information.
